Erasmus Without Paper governance structure

The Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) governance structure brings together stakeholders in the digitalisation of Erasmus+ administration in higher education.

The governance taps into the collective intelligence of a broad community to assess progress towards digital and simpler administrative processes for both students and higher education institutions (HEIs). It also provides crucial feedback and ideas for the future.

The EWP governance aims for a collaborative and shared effort towards deploying digital infrastructures to significantly boost mobility and cooperation in Europe and pave the way for the European Education Area.

Governance bodies

The governance of Erasmus Without Paper is organised with different user and stakeholder forums. Their mandate is to support the European Commission and project partners in decision-making, planning and evaluating progress.

The European Commission Steering Committee is the highest decision-making body for EWP and other components of the European Student Card Initiative. The Committee meets regularly and consists of representatives from several Directorate Generals (EAC, EMPL; DIGIT, CNECT) and sectors who provide their expertise. Collectively, they determine the direction of the initiative, taking into account the feedback received from the stakeholder forums.
